Join our local Astronomer, Jim Zebrowski and other members of the Aldrich Astronomical Society for a Fruitlands Museum Star Party!

From the Fruitlands hillside, gaze up at the open sky. You will see and learn more about the stars, planets, and moon. Sun will set at 4:21 PM. Check a brief glimpse of Saturn which sets at 7:36 PM, with Uranus out for most of the evening. Aldrich telescopes will also check out the double cluster in Perseus and the great Andromeda Galaxy along with the colorful double star Albireo and the planetary nebula M57 in Lyra. It is a wonderful time for exploring the night sky!

We will have scopes available for visitor use and a hands-on table including meteorites you can check out close up. If you have them, bring along a pair of binoculars and we will demonstrate how to use them for star gazing.

We are happy to offer this program rain or shine (although of course we are hoping for clear skies). In the event of rain, we will move the program inside and continue with a space exploration presentation about our solar system. Enjoy hands on activities, touch a meteorite, check out a telescope close up. There is much to explore, no matter the weather!
